About the Department

MENU

The Department of Mechatronics Engineering, which was established in 2009-2010 academic year at the Akfırat campus of our university, is ambitious to provide quality education in accordance with the requirements of the day with its young and dynamic academicians as well as experienced academicians.

Today, the courses related to electricity, electronics, computer and machinery, which are the basic building blocks of technology, which has entered every sector and is impossible to give up, are given to our students during their education. Our education content is organised not only to cover theoretical knowledge but also to give our students the opportunity to practice and see the results. For this purpose, fully equipped laboratories and technical equipment with good technological infrastructure are available to our students.

In the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, our students have the opportunity to practice with logic circuits, basic electronics and mechatronic system design laboratories in the first two years of their education. In the third year, our students practice intensively with application-oriented communication, design with FPGA, microcontroller, electrical machines, power electronics and mechatronics measurement laboratories. In the last year of their studies, our students have the opportunity to work on various advanced electrical, electronics, machinery and mechatronics topics.

The aim of the Department of Mechatronics Engineering, where electronics, computer and mechanical sciences, which constitute the main structure of today's technology, are presented together, is to train researcher engineers who push the limits of competition at the international level to the limit, have strong professional ethics, protect human values, are equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge at a level that can follow the latest technologies and requirements in the field and update their knowledge, and thus bring permanent and creative solutions to problems, have analytical thinking, problem solving and modelling skills.

In order to become an internationally leading higher education institution in the field of mechatronics technologies, one of the biggest goals of our university is to become a science centre that shapes the technology of the future by creating a base in the synthesis of universal science and modern education, researching, discovering and producing new knowledge and technologies with its academic staff as well as the engineers it trains.
