The Department of Civil Engineering received its first students at Istanbul Okan University Akfırat Campus in 2007-2008 academic year. Although we are a department with a very short history, our department attracts great interest from the engineering faculty students who have just entered our university. For this reason, our department has made significant contributions to the teaching staff and our young assistant professors who are experts in their fields and dynamic research assistants who are interested in every subject of our students aim to provide you, the new civil engineer candidates, with a good engineering education. Our undergraduate programme is structured in such a way that our students who will graduate from our department will be trained in basic civil engineering branches. Our vocational courses in undergraduate education are not only limited to theoretical knowledge but also include in-class applications and technical trips.
