Ceramics Laboratory

Ceramics Laboratory is the laboratory where the ceramic superstructure of the prepared metal infrastructure is completed in fixed prosthetic dental treatments.

The Ceramics Laboratory of Okan University Faculty of Dentistry is equipped with cutting-edge ceramic furnaces and instruments, and by this means, our students are offered the opportunity to understand and experiment with all steps required in processing porcelain over a metal superstructure, and firing and finalizing this prior to application on the patient.

In fixed prosthetic dental treatment, it is important for our students to learn ceramic application in preclinical education and experiment with it in laboratory, in order that they have a better grasp of similar operations they perform on their patients in clinical training and achieve success.

Thanks to this education, our students will have a say on prosthetic works sent by dental technicians, be able to instruct their technicians directly and become successful dentists by performing higher quality prosthetic treatments.
