Our department has started to take part in the structure of Art, Design and Architecture Faculty and also found the opportunity of integrating with a dynamic, young and anxious staff of artists since the beginning of 2016-2017 academic year. Our department also consists of architects, who has the experience of architecture in practice and dynamic young academicians, who are equipped with innovative visions in academic field. Especially, we evaluate this diversity of profession as prosperity. We benefit from our young academician staff in the beginning of the education process of our beginners in order to evoke excitement and popularize the phenomenon of design and creation; even in the future, benefit from architects, who are experienced with an artistic manner, to prepare students for the professional area. Our aim is to educate in a kind of idea and production platform that had the ability of enabling to follow current art and architectural discussions and productivity, also with educating intellectual people.
Besides, we share our architecture candidates’ individual hobbies, leadership and entrepreneurship qualifications that is supported by our university with other departments.
Our architecture education not only has the mission of providing to gain profession, but also takes the position of growing creative and matured human beings. Our learners practice during a dense 4 year undergraduate program to have the qualification of a professional individual. So, we study for an intellectual environment in which, young architecture candidates will have the responsibility for self-education. Because, we believe in education sustains during life time and we can only offer this phenomenon’s basic steps. In this context, each of our staff is also a learner and we continue to develop our program within this principles. Our university’s dynamic and open minded approach support our development.
In relation with our student capacity’s growing gradually by each year, our study places are renovated and our staff number expands. Beside of our English and Turkish Bachelor Programs, Architecture Graduate Programs (Thesis/Non-Thesis) enable our successful students for taking advanced courses as well.
