Economics and Finance Department offers an interdisciplinary programme encompassing these two critical subject areas in current societies. The programme, delivered by well-informed and experienced academic staff, aims to provide students with knowledge and capabilities to understand and analyse the world we live in, and define the problems to propose relevant solutions. Along with fundamental economics and finance courses, there also exist more advanced theoretical and applied courses comprising current developments in the areas.
Multidimensional development of students is further supported by second major and minor studies, Erasmus exchange opportunities, O’COOP - the cooperative learning programme at the workplace, second foreign language classes, internships, the career and life programme, social club activities, and seminars as well as a series of elective courses.
Graduates of the Economics and Finance Programme can be employed in a wide range of positions within various industries, from public institutions to national or international private companies, from manufacturing to telecommunications, from tourism to international trade, within financial sector institutions, primarily banking, and the like.
