As part of the global efforts towards sustainability under the universal roadmap outlined by the United Nations General Assembly for Sustainable Development Goals, to be achieved by 2030, sustainability pursuits worldwide have become a significant area of responsibility for individuals, institutions, and governments. Istanbul Okan University's Sustainability and Innovation Center aims to be a part of sustainable value creation that can respond to national and global requirements with the inclusive dimensions of ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) supported by contributions from the university's internal and external stakeholders.
As part of our vision to become an innovative and pioneering "World University," we bear the responsibility of leaving a more sustainable world for future generations.
We have educational programs that are part of the universal developments in sustainability and innovation. Within these programs, we aim to produce innovative solutions to national and global sustainability concerns that integrate sustainability goals and provide sustainability and innovation-oriented competency gains for our students to become leading practitioners. As a center conducting strategic research activities towards this goal, we desire to make an impact and create a difference.
We value the combination of sustainability and innovation concepts and invite all stakeholders who wish to create value on this journey towards innovative and sustainable steps for a livable world to be part of our beneficial endeavors.
