ARPROGED Intellectual Property Rights Management (IPRM) Unit is responsible for the management of Istanbul Okan University's intellectual and industrial property assets and the transfer of these assets to the industry for the benefit of society by converting them into commercial value.
In this context, the main duties of the Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights (IPR) Office within ARPROGED are as follows
- Accepting and evaluating the Invention Notification Forms (IFF) of faculty members and students. To conduct preliminary research on the patentability of the reported inventions.
- To be in contact with the cooperating intermediary office within the scope of the relevant evaluation studies of the appropriate PIFs.
- To manage IPR decision processes in accordance with the intellectual and industrial property policies of Istanbul Okan University.
- To follow up all acceptance, registration, re-evaluation and international applications of the intellectual and industrial property portfolio consisting of national and international applications
- Managing the negotiation process of provisions on intellectual and industrial property rights
- To support the preparation of all kinds of contracts and legal documents related to intellectual and industrial property.
- To organize trainings on intellectual and industrial property awareness for the members of the institution and students, and to provide related consultancy services.
