In 2021-2027, all programmes in the field of higher education have been brought together under the Erasmus+ title and the types of mobility have been classified.
Erasmus+ KA1 (Key Action One) or AE1 (Key Action 1); it is called student and staff mobility in higher education. This Call for Proposals for Istanbul Okan University students only covers the student traineeship mobilities to be carried out in the academic year 2024-2025. These mobilities cover the activities of the project number 2022-1 TR01-KA171-HED-000078867 to be carried out between 1 August 2022 and 31 July 2025. No grants are provided for dates after the end date of the project.
INFORMATION AND DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR INTERNSHIP MOBILITY
Mobility for internships: This mobility activity consists of the student, enrolled at a higher education institution, undertaking a work placement in a company or suitable workplace abroad. Attending a course at a higher education institution is not considered as a traineeship. The duration of the activity is between 2 and 12 months for each level of education separately. There are no opportunities for postgraduate traineeships.
Who can apply: Students who are actively enrolled in a higher education programme at any level (first or second level) within Istanbul Okan University are eligible to apply.
Note 1: Mobility activities after 31 July 2025 will be considered invalid.
Note 2: First level: Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree; Second level: Master's degree.

Applications will be accepted via the online application system above. Students will log into the system through their E-DEVLET account. They must complete the application in full by following the application steps and uploading the documents requested during the application process. Documents will not be submitted by hand. It is sufficient to upload the required / mandatory documents to the system correctly and completely.

Minimum GPA required for application:
- Two year degree and undergraduate students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.20 out of 4.00.
- Master's and PhD students must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.50 out of 4.00.
Note 1: The number of "Candidate" students with grants may be re-determined by Istanbul Okan University, Erasmus Selection and Evaluation Commission depending on the number of applications and country preferences. This means that this number can be increased or decreased. The number indicated here is calculated taking into account the allocation of the current budget according to the averages. The number of quotas indicated here refers to the total quota to be selected and awarded grants from all departments, i.e. the total number of students who can be selected and awarded grants.
Note 2: The applications of students who apply with a GPA below the GPA specified for each level will be considered invalid without any evaluation. The system will check whether the GPA document uploaded by the student to the system between the application dates reflects the current GPA. If it is different, the current GPA will be used as the basis for the application.
Minimum language score required for application
For traineeship mobility: 60 points
After completing the application form for the internship mobility, students will be able to take the Erasmus foreign language test organised by our foreign language coordinator, depending on the foreign language test option they have chosen in the application phase. They can also apply with the results of the central exams organised by ÖSYM (YDS, e-YDS, YÖKDİL) or with the results of exams recognised as equivalent by ÖSYM.
Candidates who use the Erasmus foreign language exam scores do not need to upload a document with their language scores.
Students who apply with the results of the exams organised by ÖSYM or exams recognised as equivalent by ÖSYM are required to upload documents.

Date: The foreign language exam, which is administered by our Foreign Language Coordinator, will be held in person on Monday, 3 February.
Required / Obligatory Documents / Obligations for Application :
Transcript: (The latest version can be obtained via OIS). Students who are in their first year of a Master's programme and whose cumulative GPA has not yet been established may use their undergraduate degree transcript. In the case of students who have come from another university through horizontal or vertical transfer and who have not yet formed their GPA at our university, the GPAs of the last diploma from the university. they came from will be taken into account)
Foreign Language Examination Result Certificate (Students who apply with the language exam score made by the Erasmus Coordination Office do not need to upload the exam result certificate.
Students who apply with the results of language exams carried out by the School of Foreign Languages, by ÖSYM or an equivalent institution of the ÖSYM are required to upload their exam result documents).
IMPORTANT: THE MAXIMUM CANCELLATION PERIOD IS 60 DAYS.
Objection dates: This will be specified in the result notification.
Method of objections: Objections are made by signed petition. Petitions must be signed. Petitions should be sent by email to the email address erasmus@okan.edu.tr.
Note1: Applications of students who do not upload the required/obligatory transcript and foreign language certificate (for those submitting results other than the Erasmus foreign language exam) or who upload incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate documents will be immediately invalidated without any evaluation. Required documents must be uploaded in PDF or JPEG format.
The transcript document must be clear and legible. The transcript document to be uploaded must include all semesters and the Overall Academic Grade Point Average. If the document is illegible and/or incomplete/incorrectly uploaded, the application will be immediately invalidated without any evaluation. The transcript document must be downloaded from the OIS system in PDF format and uploaded to the system.
Note 2: The maximum grant award period planned by the Erasmus Institutional Coordination Office is 60 days.
Note 3: The objections of students who contest the results after the deadline to be specified in the results notification will not be taken into consideration.
Waiver (Cancellation of Mobility) / Grant-Free Benefit Dates: It will be stated in the result announcement.

Note 1: Students who are selected as 'Candidate Student' for mobility may, if they wish, waive their rights within the period specified here. Students who renounce between these dates will not have any points deducted from their next applications. However, students who renounce after these dates will have -10 points deducted from their total points in their next Erasmus applications.
Note 2: After the specified date range, applications from students wishing to benefit from mobility for traineeships without grant will not be taken into consideration.
Note 3: In addition to war veterans and their spouses and children, and the spouses and children of war martyrs, in accordance with Article 21 of the Anti-Terror Law no. 3713 of 12/4/1991, the spouses and children of "public officials who were injured, disabled, died or were killed as a result of terrorist acts while performing their duties at home or abroad, or even if their titles have been revoked" and the spouses and children of civilians who lost their lives as a result of the coup attempt and terrorist act of 23 July 2016 and the acts of terrorism and its continuation as defined in Article 7 of Decree Law No. 667 of 23 July 2016. According to Article 7 of the Decree Law No. 667 dated 23 July 2016, spouses and children of those who lost their lives due to the coup attempt and terrorist act carried out on 15 July 2016 and the acts of terrorism and its continuation, or civilians who are disabled and their spouses and children will be prioritised when applying for Erasmus+ student mobility. In order to be prioritised, the student must submit a report from the Disability Health Board in accordance with the Regulation on Disability Assessment for Adults, published in the Official Gazette of 20 February 2019, number 30692.
Note 4 : For prioritisation, the student must submit a letter from the Ministry of Family and Social Policies stating that he/she has a protection, care or shelter decision in accordance with Law No. 2828.

Students are provided with grants to assist with additional expenses arising from their stay abroad during their activity period abroad. The grants are not intended to cover the full costs related to the activity, but only as a contribution.

80% of the grant payment and the total Travel Support Grant will be transferred to the Halk Bank Demand Draft Euro account number provided by the student prior to departure. After the student has completed all the necessary/required procedures and documents for the activity and submitted them to the office, the remaining 20% of the grant will be transferred to the account number, provided that the student has achieved the minimum performance level specified in the grant agreement.
